Drawing & Painting Camps

Drawing

Create mini-masterpieces when you learn more about line, perspective, shading, texture, and color. A great basics class with exciting options for returning and advanced students. Use graphite, charcoal, oil and chalk pastels, watercolor and/or acrylic paints. Repeat this camp more than once for the ultimate in solid drawing skills and interesting projects. Each week focuses on a different theme!

Drawing & Painting: Awesome Animals!

If you're a friend of animals and you love color, this is the camp for you! We'll look at land and water dwelling animals, check out inspiring artists who use animals in their work, and create our own colorful creations! A fun introduction to animal body proportions, texture, color, and habitat! Keep your eyes open…a guest animal may just visit your camp week!<br>Camp includes: Pencil, ink, colored pencil, oil pastel, watercolor and/or acrylic on canvas.

Drawing & Painting: From Jungles to Cities

Explore lush tropical jungles of the world as well as exciting man-made city "jungles" of buildings. Brainstorm, draw and paint creative ideas of how city life and nature can coexist together in the world. (Like buildings that hang with vines, or cars with flowery wheels?!) A fun and meaningful camp! Learn more about line, perspective, shading, texture, and color. A great basics class with exciting options for returning and advanced students.

Art Sampler: Draw, Paint, and Sculpt!

Like to experiment? This is the week for you! We'll draw, paint, and sculpt with clay. A kaleidoscope of creative encounters.  Yippee!  One of our most popular camps of all time! Learn fun basics of art through drawing, painting, and some hands-on clay! We'll fill the week with a kaleidoscope of color and fantastical projects! Sample lots of different art supplies and make something you truly like while you meet new friends. Families will be emailed in September when clay has been fired, glazed, and is ready for pick-up.

Art Sampler: World Celebration!

Draw, paint, and sculpt! Grab your passport and let's ‘travel’ around the world this week! We'll look at art from other cultures and countries to inspire our own artwork using many different art materials. Interesting and exciting new projects each day! Clay will be fired and picked up at a later date. Families will be emailed in September when clay is ready for pick-up.

 

July 9 -13

Art Sampler: Wild and Wacky!

This camp is super wacky! We'll fill the week with kooky, colorful projects while you use lots of different art supplies. Combine different animals together, make funny faces, screwy sculptures and more. We’re sure you’ll make something to giggle about! Clay will be fired and picked up at a later date. Families will be emailed in September when clay is ready for pick-up.

Pottery & Clay Handbuilding Camps!

Pottery & Clay Handbuilding

Get on a real pottery wheel! Learn the basics: centering, cylinders, and create FUNctional objects. Projects also include hand-sculpture using coil, slab, and carving methods. Full day campers will have the opportunity to work on the wheel 5x/week, half day campers 3-4x/week. Don't miss out on this one! Tuition includes glazing (all food safe!) and firing fee. Families will be emailed in September when clay is ready for pick-up.

Manga and Cartooning Camps!

Manga and Cartooning

Join us for one of the only Japanese Manga-style drawing and American Cartooning camps around!! Bring your creative characters and stories to life as you learn more about character design, proportions, shading, storyline, and comic covers! Returning and advanced students will be challenged while new students learn strong basics.
