Registration & Refunds

Refund/Credit and Cancellation Policy for

Full School-Year Long Classes:

If you’ve registered and prepaid any amount for upcoming classes, and you cancel your registration, you'll receive your choice of refund or credit as follows:

Refund Option:

Your account will be charged the $50 non-refundable Registration Fee + .08% of the amount being refunded.

If you choose a refund rather than to leave your paid amount as credit on your account, you will be charged .08% merchant service fees our non-profit organization pays for families during the registration process. Your refund may take 7-10 business days to be credited onto your original payment method.

Credit Option:

$30 cancel fee if the amount you pre-paid is left as credit on your account.

The amount you already paid will be left on your account and must be used within 1 year of your cancel date. It can be used towards after-school classes or summer ART Camps. After 1 year of inactivity, it is considered donated. Contact us if you don’t use the funds and would like a donation letter for taxes.

Refund/Credit and Cancellation Policy for

Single & Combo After-School Classes:

If you’ve registered and prepaid any amount for upcoming single session or combo session classes, and you cancel your registration BEFORE CLASSES BEGIN, you'll receive your choice of refund or credit as follows:

More than 2 weeks written/emailed notice:

Tuition (minus the Registration Fee per student) is refundable or left on your account as a credit to use for up to 1 year from the cancel date.

Less than 2 weeks written/emailed notice:

The Registration Fee will be subtracted. Then, half the amount paid is refundable, or the full amount transferred as credit to use up to 1 year from the cancel date. After 1 year of inactivity, it is considered donated. If you don’t use the funds and would like donation letter, please login to your Active account here to print out a financial report for tax purposes.

No refunds once classes begin. Materials are purchased, Instructor contracts finalized, and we’ve paid the merchant service fees for registrations.

Student Pick-up Policy:

We have a firm pick-up policy. There is a late fee (as outlined in the orientation information you received before your class began) when your student is picked up late. It will be auto-charged to your Active account. We understand traffic is beyond your control, but our staff waits with students until they are picked up, and late charges will apply.

Artwork Pick-up Policy:

All artwork must be picked-up no later than 3 weeks from your class or camp. Fine Art Starts is not responsible or obligated to keep or store artwork left longer than 3 weeks. Any work left for more than 3 weeks will become property of Fine Art Starts.

Transferring from Full-Year to Single Session Classes:

A $5 Transfer Fee will apply when our staff transfers a student to a different day/time. You're welcome and able to do this yourself on your Active account with no fees.

With more than 2 weeks notice, if you transfer your student from a full school year program into a single session program, there is a fee of .08% of the refund charged as the non-profit already paid the merchant service fee when the class was initially paid for.

Student Readiness Policy:

We want our students to want to be at ART class!

If your student’s behavior demonstrates they're not ready or interested in art classes in a way that takes away from their own experience or the positive experience of others, we'll let you know right away and assess the situation on a case-by-case basis to determine if they may continue, or are not yet prepared for our program. If the latter is the case, the registration may be cancelled without refund.

If your student is headed to kindergarten this fall, is toileting independently, and can follow directions, then they're likely ready. Our program requires students to be capable of following directions, working collaboratively, and sometimes semi-independently.
